Bacon Pork Rolls with Honey, Almonds and Green Beans – Trends Vrends

If you love pork, you can enjoy a delicious dish that, incredible as it may seem, is suitable for diabetics.

Juicy bun made with lean pork and rashers of bacon tied together with fresh green beans, honey and almonds and just 28 grams of carbs.

Servings: 4

Serving size: 110 g pork and about ½ cup of beans

¼ cup canned cherries, cut into large chunks

1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

450 grams of pork fillet

10 slices of low-fat bacon

1 tablespoon olive oil

250g fresh beans (chopped to taste)

¼ cup chicken broth with less salt

2 tablespoons of honey

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ cup slivered and toasted almonds


Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Spread the baking sheet out on a flat sheet. Place a grid on the foil. put it aside

In a small bowl, mix the cherries with the vinegar and set aside.

Remove the fat from the fillet. Lay the bacon pieces side by side on a work surface. Lay the fillet across and lift by wrapping the bacon around the fillet.

Place the homemade pork bun on the rack, slide into the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Brush the top of the roll with the cherry and vinegar mixture. Bake an additional 5-10 minutes or until bacon is crispy. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3 minutes.

Place the oil in a wide pan and heat to medium-high. Place the green beans on top. Cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until crispy. Add chicken broth, honey and salt. Cook and stir for about 3 more minutes, until the liquid has almost evaporated. Stir in the almonds as well.

Slice the pork bun and serve with the beans.
